About The Speaker

In her 17 years of experience in cement industry, Clarisse has held various positions and participated in projects in Indonesia, China, Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia. She is currently the Head of Sustainability at YTL Cement’s Malaysia operations. YTL Cement is the largest cement manufacturer and ready-mix concrete producer in the country. The Group aims to help Malaysia build greener with its initiatives in sustainable operation, product innovation and people development.

Besides ESG at YTL Cement, she is responsible for managing YTL Cement’s waste management business, Geo Alam Environmental Sdn Bhd as the Director of Operations. Geo Alam helps industries transition from the traditional take-make-waste model towards the circular cradle-to-cradle model. Through this industrial symbiosis, cement plants and industries reduce carbon footprint and conserve natural resources.
