Featuring some of the company’s longest-serving employees, participants will hear first-hand stories about the company’s formative years, the challenges faced, and the values that shaped its success. The session will also focus on how these founding values—hardwork, honesty, moral responsibility, togetherness and vitality—remain relevant today. This panel discussion is ideal for leaders seeking inspiration from YTL’s past to shape its future, ensuring that the company’s legacy endures for the next 70 years. This session will be moderated by Rebekah Yeoh, Director, YTL Corporation.

Ms Rebekah Yeoh Pei Wenn

Director, YTL Corporation Berhad

Rebekah Yeoh is the Corporate Finance Director of YTL Corporation Berhad. She holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Pure Economics from The London School of Economics and joined YTL Group in 2013. Her role and responsibilities ranges from cash management, project financing, banking relations to payables accounting. Outside of the workplace, Rebekah is passionate about pioneering and building numerous charitable causes adopting concepts of micro-finance and sustainable enterprising.

Mr Chan Chor Yook

Department Head (Accounts), YTL Power International Berhad

Chan Chor Yook is the Treasurer and Head of Accounts at YTL Power and YTL Construction, a position he has held for several years. With over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance, Chan is a qualified accountant, having obtained his professional qualification in 1986. He has built a distinguished career with deep expertise in project accounting, financial management, and corporate strategy within the YTL Group. Chan began his career in 1984 when he was seconded to SPYTL from an affiliate of Ler Lum & Co., as YTL's Group Auditor, taking charge of accounting operations and implement project accounting systems. Over the years, he took on various roles across YTL's affiliated companies. In 1988, Chan was appointed Head of Accounts at SPYTL, where he played a key role in the group's financial operations. His strategic involvement continued when YTL Power International was formed and listed in 1997, where he contributed to the due diligence process for several high-profile acquisitions, including Wessex Water, PowerSeraya, and PY Jawa Power.

Ms Ho Say Keng

Group Head of Finance/Group Company Secretary, YTL Corporation Berhad

Ho Say Keng is Group Head of Finance/Company Secretary of the YTL Corporation Berhad Group of companies. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (F.C.C.A.) and is a registered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She is also an affiliate member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She obtained her Diploma of Commerce (Financial Accounting) from Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman in 1981. She joined the YTL Corp Group in 1986 and her responsibilities include coordination and overseeing of the YTL Corp Group's treasury, banking, financial accounting, corporate finance and corporate secretarial matters.

Mr Gregory Vincentius Gijsen

Director, Business Development, YTL Power International Berhad

Gijsen has been a key figure in YTL Power's global expansion for over four decades. Beginning in 1982, he played a pivotal role in a joint venture between YTL and Dutch company, Wilma, to build a 750-bed hospital in Terengganu. By 1992, he became a full partner, driving the company’s ventures across borders. When Wilma ceased its operations in Malaysia and Indonesia, Gijsen joined YTL.
