YTL has played a crucial role in shaping Malaysia’s infrastructure landscape, significantly impacting the nation’s economic development and connectivity. This workshop explores how YTL has been instrumental in supporting the country’s growth through its investments in infrastructure projects. The company's investments in extensive rail projects, such as the Express Rail Link, and the double track project from Gemas to Johor Bahru, has improved rail connectivity and increased the efficiency of passenger and freight services across the region. The construction of highways has fostered regional development by linking urban centers with rural communities. In the energy sector, YTL has established power plants that contribute significantly to the national grid, ensuring a reliable supply of electricity for both urban and rural areas. YTL's cement plants are critical for the construction industry, whilst YTL’s data centres are supporting Malaysia's vision of becoming an AI nation. The company’s current focus on renewable energy initiatives also supports Malaysia’s transition toward a sustainable energy future.

Mr Yeoh Keong Yuan

Director, YTL Construction

Mr Yeoh Keong Yuan is an Executive Director in the Construction division of the YTL Group. He is the current Vice President of the Master Builders Association of Malaysia. He is involved in the management of construction of infrastructure, high-rise buildings, railway project in particular the 192km Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double Track Project and power plants projects. He is involved in driving the innovative transformation initiatives and projects in YTL Construction.
