ABOUT THIS SESSION

This workshop will delve into YTL Group’s commitment to sustainability as it prepares for its 70th anniversary and beyond. Participants will gain insight into the group’s ambitious sustainability goals, including initiatives in renewable energy, waste reduction, and climate change mitigation. The session will highlight case studies of successful projects across the YTL Group, showcasing how sustainability is being integrated into business practices and its measurable impact. Leaders attending this workshop will learn how they can play an active role in driving these sustainability efforts within their own departments. As we move toward this milestone anniversary, the workshop will also explore how leadership can embed sustainable practices in day-to-day operations, ensuring YTL remains a front-runner in environmental stewardship. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how to contribute to YTL’s sustainability vision, setting targets for their teams and inspiring a culture of eco-consciousness. Whether it’s reducing carbon footprints or fostering a green workplace culture, this workshop will provide the tools needed for leaders to shape a sustainable future for YTL.

Mr Ralph Justin Dixon

Executive Director of Sustainability, YTL Corporation

Ralph Dixon is the Executive Director of Sustainability at YTL Corporation Berhad and CEO of YTL-SV Carbon. With 17 years at YTL, he leads the Group's environmental investment, carbon strategy, and sustainability divisions. YTL Group, serving over 12 million customers across three continents, focuses on regulated utilities and infrastructure. Ralph also holds various trustee roles, including at the Malaysian AIDS Foundation, Reef Check Malaysia, and Save Wild Tigers (M) LLP. Before YTL, Ralph spent 15 years in investment banking and later served as CEO in manufacturing for Detpak and GPac Technology. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Management Sciences from the University of Warwick and a Mandarin diploma from National Taiwan Normal University.

Ms Ruth Yeoh Pei Cheen

Executive Director, YTL Singapore Pte Ltd

Ruth Yeoh is an Executive Director at YTL Singapore Pte Ltd and Director at YTL-SV Carbon Sdn Bhd, YTL’s in-house carbon consultancy. Eldest in her fourth-generation family infrastructure conglomerate business, she heads Sustainability for the YTL Group of Companies and pioneered the educational campaign "Climate Change Week" in her hometown of Malaysia. She has received numerous accolades including “Asia’s Power Businesswomen” and “Heroes of Philanthropy” by Forbes in 2015 and the Medallion for Distinguished Service by the Ministry of National Development in Singapore in 2019. She currently serves on the Board of Reef Check Malaysia and is an Executive Committee Member of Women in Sustainability and Environment (WISE) and a Singapore Advisory Council Member of The Nature Conservancy (TNC). Ruth is also a published author and co-editor of the Book “Cut Carbon, Grow Profits: Business Strategies for Managing Climate Change & Sustainability” and co-founded the Recyclothes Group, a sustainable fashion and social enterprise that promotes the circular economy.
